A Second Round of Academics
The University of Idaho Library is a magical place. Quietly nestled with my laptop, my homework and my boy in the world religion section, I happily worked away at my Econ assignment without complaint. Call it childish, but to me Libraries have always had this wonderful storybook connotation about them, so much so that I have resolved to have one of my own... eventually.

Recruitment
For those of you who have never been through a greek system, there is a thing called recruitment that is unlike anything else. Women coming to college that wish to be in a sorority are put in to groups and formally paraded to each house, while the women already in the houses do what they can to find the women they want. It has it's own charm about it I suppose. In a word, though, I simply find it fascinating. I went through the parading event last year and this year it was my turn to put on the heels and impress impress impress. It worked. We got 28 new beautiful young women in the house and I can not wait to get to know them all. Here's a little run down of recruitment.
Day Two: Tour Day

As unsure as I was about this year, I am so excited for what it has in store. I love the positive vibe that seems to be all over the house. The new little one in the house have the potential to do great things. Now it's time for school, studying and a little bit of social. I figure this year it's all about balance. As for my last few days of summer, I'm going to sit right here by my fire escape, and enjoy the summer air and people watching while watching a little too much British tv and talking to my new roommates.
This Time Last Year...

February was Go Red For Women Month which is Alpha Phi's Philanthropy so it was also time for the Alpha Phi Red Dress Poker Tournament. I held the Position of Director of Philanthropy, so it was a very stressful month, but the outcome was rewarding. We raised over $1500 for Cardiac Care.
the temperamental spring weather in moscow.
there was a lot of dancing in my spring semester, from country swing dancing to West coast to Salsa and latin ballroom, I discovered I have quite a passion for dancing. I really enjoy it. In fact there was a dancing philanthropy to raise money for the International Justice Mission that I was involved in planning for as well as three other Greek Living organizations. That is where I met Kyle.
He kinda rocked my world.

I worked this past summer next to a castle... technically it's a water tower, but it's cute anyway. I did anything from accounting to "public diplomacy" I loved it!
